Does anyone know what boats Sunsail operated from Port Solent before the sun fast 37s?
No real reason for my question, just interested?

I have wheel steering and a rudder on my boat!![]()
Sunsail have replaced the 37's with F40's. The 37's were being sold off. Thye have had a hard life - I raced one two years ago and they were very tired. Our shore power and fridge did not work, the instruments were erratic, and we had numerous failures in the fleet over the inside of a week. We shredded a spinnaker in an F3 (collapsed then shredded as it refilled) and our main sheet traveller came adrift - that was fun controlling the main in a race! Another boat had the intermediate shroud (between the upper and lower spreader) fail, they tacked immediately and the other one failed! Radio'd Sunsail who told them not to worry and keep racing!
There was an article in PBO sime time ago about repairing major hull damage and the photos were all of a Sunsail 37.
few of the F40 are for sale in YM this month....
Probably cannot find the 'off' button for the AIS![]()
Eek, I can remember Port Solent first opening and the pre rebrand Emsworth Sailing School moving in. Seems light years ago!
A friend of mine had the hammerhead of the first pontoon in to starboard. He kept a Prout cat there for charter plus a small 20 odd foot something or other too. He also had another cat that I used to deliver round Pompey harbour at all sorts of weird times when it was due out on charter. Didn't half learn a lot!!
Happy Days.....
