Sunken boat project.

If you are going to rewire...this is a chance to go lithium

It is, apparently I still need a lead acid battery as a starter motor.

But the hotel services could be run from a Lithium battery as they can go down to very low SOC without damage.

A friend has a 20% discount code for Fogstar batteries and some experience in conversions.

Do you spend a lot of time at anchor ?

Not really, it's much more a day boat with an annual rally in Torquay. Overnight trips are rare

I'm not actually convinced it's worth the effort and cost.

I have to have 1 X lead acid for starting. That can no doubt be reduced from 110A to say 75.

The house battery can stay as 110A.

Modern outboards start first time, every time .

I down graded a 100A battery to 45A on my rib with a Honda 100 (The Power of Dreams), and it's been fine

I always carry a lithium starter pack, more for phone charging, vhf charging etc.

With 2 batteries on board that now becomes unnecessary to carry to.

The portable power packs do give you alternatives…no need for a house battery…able to boil a cup of cocoa…take it home and then use it on a job site or camping trip

As someone who supplies and fits Lithium, i think in your case it's a waste of time and money. Cheap LA for the engine and perhaps a better AGM for domestics.

Lithium installations and expensive Lithium power packs are a waste of money on a boat like this, with it's intended usage pattern.

The power packs are portable and can be used on other aspects of your life....unlike a dedicated boat house battery that is only used the occasions when you take the boat...and can’t brew a coffee

You still need a domestic battery. Just for general lighting, a freshwater pump for gallery and heads outlets, plus loads of other stuff. Boats at this level and above are not supposed to feel like camping.
Maybe use one in place of the occasional need for mains/in-built inverter.

Yes, I know.....but these portable power packs are worth considering

It's just a 22ft sports cuddy so not much load demand...
