You really just need to rip out every single wire and piece of electrical equipment, put it all in a skip and start again.
You’re going to end up doing that anyway, the only question is whether waste loads of time trying to patch it together before you realise you need to rip it all out and start again.
£250 is a vast underestimation for the cost of the components to rewire, add an extra nought.

It's a 22 ft boat so cable runs are relatively short.
Tinned wire is around £2/ metre depending on cross section.
The £250 is just for wire.
I agree £2k maybe the overall cost of getting the electrics sorted (excluding chart plotter and gauges).
I'll reveal costs once it's done!

Headlinings. Very little, it's mostly grp which has been cleaned
Soft furnishings, vaxed in Jizer fluid. Coverings washed. All drying my shower room. Ozone gizmo on order for final cleaning. Cockpit covers much less critical regarding residual smell.
Sell Excel virago 5.2 metre rib with 100 honda on
Sell Avon 3.1 metre rib trailer and 15 Suzuki
Sell Zodiac Cadet 260 with snap davits fitted.

The hydraulic steering is manual and a sealed system, so at worst a flush though required.
I'm hoping the remote controls escaped submersion along with the plotter and gauges.
No condensation seen in them...

nice project, should be fine once done (personally I'd keep it as you know exactly what's going on where and how things work)
fwiw (not much) when I rebuilt quite a few things on my 43ft timber 70s mobo almost 15yrs ago, I was confused to find the original cables weren't tinned, and doubleshocked to see they were all fine (except for bonding which was a mess and all replaced with decent tinned cables)
So in theory if not submerged and if in a nice sunny place (OK, that probably wont apply to you) non-tinned cables could be alright. Having said that on a 22footer I'd go tin all around the bilges for sure.

Id unscrew all the linings as the ply inside will be wet. The ozone can only kill what it can reach. You dont want mould forming behind etc otherwise youll just be chasing smells for ages. 2.5k seems about right i reckon. All bilge pumps, water pump, water heater element?, nav lights and all wiring, new charger, new VSR, batteries, bus bar….all adds up fast

De humidifier full again this afternoon.
I'll take off all panels and clean/ dry them.
I Bumped into Superheat6k of this parish today. He's quite good at wiring so may pick his brains as he's got nothing to do.....
