And I've been arguing all weekend with jobs-a-good-un, who seems to exclusively navigate by chartplotter, that I am more comfortable knowing where I am on a paper chart. Fortunately the gps signal was OK as we came past Hugo Bank and through the Nash Pash on Saturday in a strong NE, then round Lavernock in the dark as the gale and rain arrived. Good job it wasn't on Sunday /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
There seems to be a blind spot in the centre of the bay, i loose my gps signal when motoring to the locks, but it soon comes back, its been like it for years.
that really does sound odd. I wonder if there's an electrical field there, connected to the pumps, or water quality eters or something? Can't see it being satellite related. Noticed anything on the radio, or other instruments?
I was in Swansea on Saturday, but fortunately the gps was fine /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif - unlike most of the party goers in fancy dress in Wind St on Friday night /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif (I was going to say women, but thought that might give offence /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif )
