Sunday Breakfast

Re: why only Sunday Breakfast

There is a chance I might be in Oare Creek that weekend, in search of a few pints of Shipwrecked. I'll know what's happening if I smell something delicious of a morning...

I'll be enjoying my personal favourite breakfast - a butter-dripping double boiled-egg sandwich smothered with Schwartz Black & Red Pepper.

Here’s a breakfast served to me by the American wife of a well-known yachting journalist. Sounds bizarre, but well worth a try, ‘cos, believe me, it tastes great!

Fresh bread with a good coating of peanut butter; strips of crispy bacon laid on top, and finally a spread of sweet chilli jelly (or, more commonly available, sweet chilli sauce). Made into a sandwich, with fresh coffee.

I quite like a glass of calvados with my (holiday or boat weekend) breakfast, too.

All IMHO, of course.

Most good deli's sell a spanish pork loin meat called Lomo. Its a bit thicker than bacon and is preserved in olive oil - no fridge needed. Being soaked in oil you just chuck it into a hot dry pan and it cooks quickly in it's own oil.

Nice with eggs or between two slabs of bread of you're on the move. We always get a jar of it if we are going away.

It was only a suggestion /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif. Ok, Ok. Use a cup and saucer instead of a mug. Better?
