Kim please don't remove this as it is not meant as an advertisement, purely as a public acknowledgement of the excellent work Phil, Neil & Clive are doing down at Sun Coast Sea School. I am not assiciated in anyway but am now, very much an admirer of these lads, having literally just returned from a Day Skipper practical course down there.
As mentioned in a recent publication the training was more than worthwhile and carried out in an informal yet masterful way. I would suggest that anyone on this forum, no matter how experienced, may benefit from what is an RYA sylabus. As many know I have put a ridiculous amount of hours on my boat this last 12 months yet the handling, navigation and mechanicy bits were all useful and indeed made fascinating.
I am a member but not a particular fan of the RYA but if this is anything to go by more power to their elbow. No matter what question was thrown at these lads they had an answer backed up by personal practical experience. Even the food was good! My advice to everyone out there, get yourself booked on a course, no matter where, it really is confidence building. Thanks again Sun Coast. Paul
