Summers over

Not quite.
On my beach walk with the dog early this morning the pipistrells were still much in evidence.
And the neds are still cruising the seafront in their souped-up Corsas, a form of life that tends to go to winter habitat as soon as the leaves start to turn.

Roll on Winter!

Re: It must be over now you\'re back hame!

Unfortunately got to go out again next week to remove engine and replace mounts . Too much noise kept me awake this summer . Couldnt hear SWMBO talking .

On second thoughts thinks " am I doing the right thing ? Gulp ! Boobed again !!! "

Never mind I can then look forward to reading the Sunday Post with Oor Wullie and The Broons and being a grandfather this winter .

Plus eating my favourites - Scots pies, mince and tatties and dried fly sandwiches instead of pasta , pasta , pasta

I noticed the swallows, swifts and or house martins heading south across the channel when we went to Cherbourg, couple of weeks back.

Oh well, if we did'nt have winter there would'nt be summer to look forward too.

Had the geese for a bit now and the cormorants have just re-appeared (I don't know where they go in the summer) as has Harry the Heron
