Aim is to head to Gosport in the coming week, then leaving the boat there (Wicormarine-much less pricey than a marina) and return to work/cataract op., then return to boat and Channel Islands. BUT; with the weather in its current mood there is every chance we will come up short of Gosport and be stuck in somewhere VERY pricey eg Eastbourne or Brighton. Does anyone have any alternative berthing ideas in that area that are a bit/lot cheaper?

I would be hesitant to move the boat away from it's home for a (long) time and then plan to return to her after an operation.
The op may get cancelled or not go well or recovery might take longer than planned, etc...
Could turn out to be expensive - especially when you consider you're already paying for an East Coast berth.

What, on my own eye, with a dental drill? Got a two week gap to iron out the problems. Realistically anything could happen, biggest risk is the weather. could end up stuck at Pin Mill the way things look!
