What a fabulous day it was out on the water today!
She went back in after the winter lift and service at 08:30 - crisp, totally clear blue sky and water like a millpond. Made a few minor adjustments once back in the water, then out through the 10:30 bridge. Just us and some chaps from the RNLI testing one of their big rigs.
The absolute joy of blatting across Poole harbour at 35 knots - engines on song, sun shining and no traffic and no speed limit. Awesome!
Took her out as far as Anvil Point - still totally flat calm almost unnervingly so and then back as far as Bournemouth where the kids were made up as we saw three dolphins about a mile off the pier.
If this is a foretaste of the summer of 2010, then please please bring it on - I can't wait.
The only fly in the ointment is no pictures - not even the obligatory wake shot - as none of the pics I took came out - blasted camera phones!
Roll on the season proper is all I can say.
