Hi

Yes Mr Brown will want his 17.5%

Yes Mr Brown will want some import duty ( Check for commodiity codes and cost with C&E)

Yes the carrier will want a handling charge but this may have been included by the sender.

That's funny, I thought you lived in Australia and were planning to set up a business selling series drogues to the UK ?

While I am sure this forum is a source of much accurate and useful information, it seems odd to use it to gather fundamental business information.

ahh sherlock, foiled again.
you may be right, but usually duties etc, are the consignee's problem. in this case i am sending a drogue to PBO, who will conduct sea trials, and evaluation. difficult to get answers on such things at 9.30pm sat night. If it is an inappropriate use of the forum i'm sorry.

i am importing a series drogue from australia and need to know . . .

This is completely untrue by your own admission. You are in fact exporting a series drogue from Australia.

Why could you not have simply said this in the first place instead of indulging in unnecessary and clumsy subterfuge?

BTW, I e-mailed you at seriesdrogue@hotmail.com on 11th March as per your request, but have received no response. That is generally considered to be bad manners.
