Studland MCZ decision coming soon

I think Flying goose might be previously known by the forum name moomba.

He has problems in written communication, but his views are no less valid because of that.

Even though I dont share them................................

Chris Packham and NGM are a disgrace to conservation.

IMHO, of course!

I do as well. Claims to be in Scotland, gets naggy when any one dares to disagree and then dyslexia surfaces. Oh just noticed, name drops, his wife in Academia. Moomba did that as well?

Oh another conspiracy theory how exciting you guys should right a novel :p
Its the same old same on these forums , the old guard protecting their divine right not to be challenged sad old tories I suspect not getting their brexit
As Dyslexia goes I have it and is quite bad I use spell check most of the time but hey ho sometimes it get muddled I think as an older generation of a person you would have a little more respect for those less fortunate than you grandmaster self , but I see I am wrong
I live in Glasgow Im 48 and my Boat lays in Ardrossan I am more than happy to meet and greet and say hello to all espically those that like to use forums as their whipping ground met a few now and they tend to shut up on the sight of me , I also work in Forestry and do a lot of conservation work with the wife who is a Dr of life sciences currently working on Scotland's carbon foot print and conservation , worked out of Stirling and knows all the Dr's of ecology and conservation management ,
If you seem to have a problem with this I suggest you pish off somewhere were someone gives a hoot me cause I don;t care I :p
And Moomba is a place in Australia I looked it on on Google you should as well or do you need to go to spec savers

To the Nth degree.......................

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, its a duck!

:encouragement: By the way his posts show few signs of Dyslexia, but many of lack of grammatical knowledge and idleness. Dyslexia seems to have become a catch all excuse for ignorance and/or idleness which does those of us who do actually suffer from the condition considerable disservice.

A very dyslexic friend often quietly sings the following when concentrating hard-says its a tool to focus his attention:-

' Old McDonald had Dyslexia, IO-IO-E!'

He went to top fee paying schools and was beaten for being thick.

As a VERY talented engineer, that was obviously not the case.

Forty five years ago his father paid the local engineering firm's boss to spend two days a week teaching him how to use the lathes, mills, spark eroder, re-boreing kit and crank grinding gear.

It worked.

Sadly your last sentence does rather reinforce some stereotypes about dyslectics (and engineers), my son who suffers even worse than me has a first class MEng and works as a research scientist with a world leading organisation, it doesn't meant (of itself) that you have any need to follow a non-academic path.

He was fortunate to have been born with a golden spoon in his mouth, multi millionaire parents.

Grandad and Father both top motorsport and Veteran/Vintage collectors, as well as hands on restorers and engineers.

He initally worked in the family business, office based. It did not work out, so he went motorbike racing and became a top performer in the then new Classic Class using a Manx Norton. As spares were becoming harder to find he thought he might re-manufacture the fast moving and difficult stuff.

Which is where his Grandad and Father came in, getting the long established local engineering company's boss to personaly train him in precision engineering. It was purely a personal favour, as normally that service would have been declined.

Today, if you require a Magneto, a direct replica-accepted by all the racing clubs- of the rotating magnet Lucas instrument used on the last of the Manx Nortons, my mate can build you one. He makes, or gets made, everything required.

That is certainly not an easy job!
