The six car turntable ferry has run agroud and is out of service indefenately.
Im not sure how to link the story . It is on the bbc news pages for the highlans and islands.

The big question is why have they not fixed road-landslip at turn of the year I recall near where the tunnel is-concerned that rock face is unstable but not doing anything about it!
Seems to becoming common practise with Transerve who service( thats a joke)our roads up here in the highlands .Just spent usual 10 minutes waiting on A82 near Glen Gloy turning where crash barrier/road edge has slipped;then there are the lights on the section along shores of Loch Lochy that suffered storm damage and fell into Loch in January gales.
No sign of repair work on any of these sections-a man with a shovel occasionally fills the big holes usually after its smashed a load of springs-I have lost 3 on the A82 in less than two years.
Mind you ferry was a pain when it was only way across to Loch Carron all be it that the road didnt used to go anywhere other than back to Inverness until mid 60s when they linked through to Sheildaig and refused to take Caravans or coaches.
Never forget what a teaching friend of my Dads did just before they opened the road around the head of Loch Carron back in 69/70-ferry refused to let him on with caravan so he threw his keys in Loch Carron-Police were called and temporirly opened the new road before it had been sealed.
Often get tempted to park in middle of one of Transerves non events! and throw the keys

Are you trying to give up pronouns, articles and prepositions for Lent? If so good attempt but must try harder.

Thanks for that, I hadn't heard.
I have used the ferry regularly since it's introduction in January. The train is still operating and hasn't been affected by the landslide. The road has been closed since just before Christmas. Highland Council, not Transerve, have work on going round the clock in an effort to get the road reopened. Unfortunately they keep on getting repeated landslides the latest this week, which obviously isn't helping.
Although very inconvient, this road isn't the main road into Lochcarron, despite what the press reports.

ffiill, your posts seem to becoming unreadable rants these days...
