Just returned from visiting the boat. I've left her afloat this winter in a "secure" marina. Blowing a real hooley whilst I was there and was worse overnight!

The wind has torn the flybridge cover off and broken the windscreen/wind deflector. Nothing I could do but recover the cover (a write off) and leave the flybridge open until the wind abates.

So, where can I get/have made a replacement windscreen? The present one is acrylic/perspex and tinted grey. Boat is a Birchwood TS37 and based in Yorkshire.

Many other boats had suffered similar damage with canopies flapping all over the place. If you haven't visited your boat I suggest you try to A.S.A.P.

John.

Not Yorkshire but Lancashire so "up north" to us southerners. Eagle Boat Windows comes to mind .

Polycarbonate might be a better choice than an acrylic such as Perspex. not sure if Eagle do polycarbonate

If you can produce a pattern there are sevarl other companies "down south" who advertise regularly in PBO

Sunlight Plastics in Waterlooville

Project Plastics and UK Plastics Fabrications both in Colchester, Essex

Hadlow Marine in Hadlow, Kent and Sea Clear, in Maidstone Kent

Talking Plastics aka TP Marine may still be around as well but I believe no longer at Wicor Marine

Know just how you feel, I am on Aire + Calder Navigation and yesterday discovered winter cockpit covers either missing or the snap fasteners ripped out, cant find missing pieces so need someone who will just replace these if I make up templates. Also VHF aerial actually snapped off 10ins up from base and neighbours tender was upside down in storm ditch 100mt away.
Keep smiling its only money.
Colin.

Trend marine supply most of the glass/poly for the UK builders. Have a look in the corner of one of your windows and you should see the approval mark and the manufacturer.
