hi can anyone help me identify or give me the builders name of these boats im
trying to track down.a few years ago i read a article about one of the employees of pbo having one of these boats moored in europe somewhere and
i quite liked the look of them,being big and enclosed and steel,they may well be suited to the southern part of nz.They have a round stern,a pilot or wheel house,they are motor sailers,look old and look a bit like a large fisher.I will be over there in a month or two and would like to check a few of them out.Im not sure of their origin either,maybe british maybe dutch.If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated thanks

Think you might be referring to the Huffler range, built by Peter Nicholls www.steelboats.com Custom built in very small numbers, so doubt you will be able to find ny to look at. However, according to the website has one in build now.

Try Offshore Steel Boats in Hull they used to build Colin Archer style hulls and decks to a design by Alan Pape and the yard owner.

Thanks for your assist,the Huffler isnt it, but it might end up being it, what a tough, multipurpose,well built ,well thought out,design.I will be checking them out for sure when I get over there..thanks again
