The other thread was great but I think more priority should be given to choosing a boat which suits those of us with SWMBOs whose sailing is limited, by ability, inclination, or otherwise.

She's more keen on sailing than my dad is, and a better helm to boot.

Sounds like most swimbo's are the death of sailing & adventure......Time to tell them who is the Captain (I hav'nt got one myself) but pointing out the prospective domains should be sufficient.......Swimbo's rule in the kitchen at sea they are merely passengers & should have confidence & trust in the skippers ability for the sake of .........a wonderful priceless experience (explained to them very carefully as part of an education program).What's wrong with that?
