I have used it for several years in its previous guise and found it excellent-one of the Starbrite products that works well. I think it has been rebranded-was Starbrite Heavy Duty Wax Cleaner from memory. Anyway does what it says on the tin-wipe on and buff off-very little effort and gets a good clean shine-at least on my quite reasonable gelcote. Hope this is of some help. No connection etc.
I always find Starbrite products very good, in spite of being biased aganst things American. A mate of mine uses International and gets excellent results with their wax sealant on top.
No - but have used starbrite deck cleaner with PTEF on a previously brand new boat. The result appears very smeary, almost as if it has removed any shine and left in it's place a dull film covering the boat. Is as visible on hatches where the film build up is so bad the hatches are almost opaque at certain angles.
I have used the starbrite polish without PTEF (whatever that is) and been very pleased with it.
PTEF, PTFE and teflon are all just different trade names for the generic polytetraflouroethylene. PTEF is the registered one for Starbrite.
Starbrite does the cleaner wax and polish both with PTEF but even after reading their website, i'm still not sure of the differance. From the responces so far, no one has disadvised against this product specifically and are quite happy with it. Normally we use the international polish and wax but could not get it in time. I think i'll give this one a go.
I've used Starbrite Premium Teflon polish fo rthe last three years and it's far and away the best polish I've come across. 'Taint cheap, but assuming you put on the two coats they recommend, it genuinely does last the full season.
I've used both Starbrite polish / colour restorers and scrubs, also International Polwax and Fibreglass restorer.
I was not impressed with the International products and Polwax was difficult to clean polution stains from.
Starbrite products IMHO were far easier to use and their Premium polish is easy to wipe over and remove the polution / rainwater stains.
