OK, now dont let me down. I need 1 - 2 metres of 316 tube. ID must be 1" or 26mm but a decent wall thickness so 1 1/4" OD would be good. I know I can buy the stuff in 6 metre lengths but I only need 1 metre but would buy 2 metres if I have to. Obvoiuslly price is a concern but need the stuff!!

Cheers in anticipation

hi
having struggled to find 1" polished stainless with good wall thickness for making up stanchions appreciate your problem - looked at lots of sites/deal;ers. many have thick wall tube but not polished, some have satin finish which will tarnish on a boat. Good tube dealer is Stainless Pipeline Tubing (SPS) at Oldham (0161 627 2795)near Manchester they have 1" polished stainless in various specs with 3mm wall thicknes, will sell in small quantities, prices are cheaper than e bay dealers and seem very helpful.. Came by them from recommendation other boaters.
Hope this is helpful

I recently needed to create struts for my new wind generator

www.seascrew.com

They have an excellent catalog on line and you can buy fittings and lengths of 316 in different diameters, end fittings as well

Delivery was excellent and shop staff helpful too.

No connection other than would def use again
