St60 wind mastblock / cable

I've just bought a new St60 cable / plastic mastblock to replace the previous aluminium block type and although the pins are the same it's a much tighter fit than the old one and you have to put the transducer in at a slight angle before the thread will engage and pull up square. On the old one there was a cut out right through the thread to clear the alignment tab but on the new one the slot is shallower and doesn't go completely through the thread. Is this deliberate to put a bit of pressure on the pins or have I bought the wrong thing. It does fit but is tighter than I would expect. Thanks.

I’ve also just bought one and agree it’s a tight fit. I don’t think there’s a deliberate plan behind it. It’s just a tight fit!
