St Cast Marina Plan

Yes exactly, there is a pontoon about 70ft long in that position.

The boat does not have to be red they will service fuel to any colour boat.

BTW I have no connection with either fuel vendor only as customer.

You need to man the gun at all times as the delivery rate is considerably faster than from an automotive type pump.

I've filled up there quite a few times, recommend that you wet your decks and have fairy liquid to hand and wear gloves, and have plenty of kitchen roll to hand. The tanker drivers are great but as Bandit says, the flow of fuel is VERY fast and it's almost inevitable that you'll get some on your deck.

Hi Kevin,

We visited it last week on the MBM cruise and were very impressed. Great new marina as you can probably see from the photos (we didn't fuel there so can't comment) but a charming town with plenty of great places to eat and a lovely walk round a new cliff path (10 mins) from the marina to the town. Also if you're into your beaches this would be one I'd recommend.

There is however a interesting rock in the middle of the marina (built around so not an issue) but also a reef to the North of the marina to avoid if you're berthing on the outer pontoon at high water. Definitely worth a visit and we will go back when we're next in the area.

Sorry we missed you in Jersey, we ended up being there until Sat morning, but couldn't see you on board.

Regards

Phil

We just missed you twice. You were still in St Helier when we arrived on Saturday. We dropped off our bags and came to find you and this is you I think doing a runner as soon as you knew we were there...

We then braved flipping rough seas to get to St Peter Port and I reckon you'd left earlier than the others? There was the lead boat and a couple of the other boats but I couldn't see yours.

They do show Le Feuillade and Le Bec Rond on the plan...

Which they give you after you are already moored up

Not sure why they didn't incorporate "Le Bec Rond" into the marina breakwater?

Ah well done Neal, I was hunting for the very same photos last night.
At least its got a post to mark it! Easier to spot than some of the pots on the way in.

Kevin,

Sorry we missed you, twice!
Infact both times you mention we did leave in a rush, we had a good weather window for Jsy to St Cast so the fleet were departing promptly to get over the sill.
Then again in Gsy, Neal had spotted a weather window on the Friday, which turned out to be an excellent call for all those needing to be back at work on Monday. In the end the rest of the fleet didint get away until Monday due to poor weather/sea state. Unfortunately it was Michelle's first day back at Raymarine after 10 months maternity leave, so we had no choice but for a swift depart on Friday.
Thanks for the photo!
Are you still in Jsy as I'm flying out on business this morning?

Regards

Phil

Of course not, we came home early as the forecasts were poor. Darn, we are going to enjoy that drink when we finally get together!

The photo had a crude touch up by Photobucket. I have RAW original, but it isn't an exciting pic, I just grabbed it to prove we saw you.

Yeah, when are we having that curry then? :D

Cheers

Well it is hard to fit in amongst your jet setting SoF lifestyle.

"We're there again this weekend, it is warm and sunny, but maybe a little blustery"

Pah, show-off.

But we have diligently been trying the Indian restaurants in St Helier, all on your behalf.

Jolly good. You'll be pleased to know that the weather here in Antibes is precisely as forecast, ie a little windy - but scorchio.

Cheers
