That's entering the Golfe di Porto, W coast of Corsica. One of the most beautiful places in the whole Med imho. In the distance off the starboard bow, where the 3 yachts are, is the entrance to Girolata harbour

I guess we will have to bury the OB rating system and consign that to history or turn it into something PC!

I'm not entering! I didn't even mention the boat, whose bilges I have spent hours in fixing things. I entered the non-existent "Spot the place" comp, and I'd recognise the entrance to Girolata whether I was there on that occasion or not because it is one of may favourite places

Need to remove the boat from future STP comps though as there is a real danger of objectification.

Ah, beautiful Golfe de Porto, the harbour of Girolata, and the bulls on the beach. One of the best spots in the Med. For those who don't know it, it's a little village on mainland Corsica W coast, population 14 in winter, with no road connection so everything comes to the village by boat and there is no shorepower or such mod cons. We were lucky enough to be allowed to berth overnight on the beach pontoon. The bull was quite charming to us but we heard he had a bit of a go at one of the other visiting boaters. This reminds me, I must make a post about 2014 Corsica/Sardinia cruising; have it in draft on PC, just got to finish it off. Just my $0.02 worth, but I think it would be nice to exercise restraint regarding the repeated sniggering comments that allude to the "exploitation" debate on the STB thread. I think (though I may be wrong, in which case please ignore this whole paragraph) the posters who were in Sarabande's camp might see the comments as sideways jabs at them. It's perfectly ok to disagree on stuff but I'd appeal that we should play nicely, especially in a debate which touches on quite deeply held feelings, as opposed to which type of Sikaflex to use. And especially towards those posters, who have made great contributions to this forum. As I say, just $0.02 and imho
