I have to remake my stern bearings this winter and following up a recommendation on here I emailed the makers of vescomite, enquiring about suppliers. I wanted a couple of stock pieces which could be machined to make the bearings. The sales chap wrote back saying he could free issue the amount I needed and asking for my address. Sure enough, ten days later I have the material. Now I think that is very good, coming from a company which clearly isn't set up to deal with individuals. Most would give you the brush off.

Yes I dealt with the South African office for a small order of Vesconite (1/2 metre of 30mm bar) for a rudder bush repair and they couldn't have been more helpful. Like you I was expecting the usual 'but we only supply a minimum order of 1ton/1000 metres/100 groats worth, etc, etc. but no problems with the above order.

Arrived by post within 10days. Spot on service and a product that lives up to all the blurb.
