A multimeter doesn't measure inductance, only resistance (in this case).

Inductance is a resistance to alternating or changing current.

hmm, I never even suggested he'd measure inductance, did I?

just the comparative lack of resistance, which showed clearly it wasn't a regular resistive type plug, nor an un-supressed one either.

Well I put them in today and fired up. It ticks over nicely, but the weather was too rainy to go for a pootle, so I don't have a definitive answer, but it's looking good. Checked the battery was charging with the engine running as I had me meter with me as well. It showed nearly 12 volts without the engine on and nearly 14 with it running, (it's analogue, so I could be a bit inaccurate there).
Please don't start an argument about that /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
