What an entertaining thread.
My previous contributions were simply to wind-up, but i note, with mirth, that much petrol has been chucked on the fire since.
Back to the initial post though; the reason the UK has not gone to war over this disgraceful incident is that we simply do not have the military capacity to win. The same applies to any re-invasion of the Falklands.
Aircraft carriers with no aircraft; leaking, unusable bunkering facilities onshore in Gib'; pink-fluffy initial training regimes for our military; reduction of the size of the army; et al all contribute to our pursuit of becoming a third world nation.
Why do we deliver overseas aid to India when they have a space programme?
I think you are somewhat misinformed. You may wish to investigate the military capability of Argentina and Spain.
