hello all,
tried all the places I could locally and in Athens, to no avail.
Problem is that I have four doors, each one with 3 hinges and I now have 7 working ones
Easy to understand that the fourth cabin door wont work with one hinge, so currently at George's workshop waiting for at least one more hinge.
The photos are of two broken ones I have lying around and which my beloved machinist declined to fix (If you could remove the rusted pins out of the various pieces forming each hinge, you could mix and match and make one out of the broken two. Problem is it's a bitch to do and he's too busy to spent a morning trying to do it.
I vaguely remember Alf mentioning that he has similar hinges on Navigator and someone else saying that he may know a place that stocks them.
I've bought over the years various sized equivalent ones that are alloy and are much thicker means that I have to carve into the door and the frame. The door is okay, the frame isn't as i'll have to remove all the alloy and go through to the ply which I don't like as an idea. Further the alloy ones are in between sizes (one's smaller next size up is larger...)
Anyway, could someone help source them? Must be Italian, are definitely 70s and once kept oiled work nice and smooth. Just need 5more to be fill all spots and relieve the poor 40yo ones that hold the 3 other doors in place now.
cheers
