Source of outboard?

We need a 3-4 HP 4-stroke outboard. Any suggestions where to look? It has to be new and with warranty so need to avoid suspiciously cheap eBay deals. We are a charity so able to avoid the VAT.

First pick your make and then look at the manufacturers site for the dealer network to see if one's near you in case of problems. Buying cheap often costs more in the long run.

Rob Barnard at Black Dog Marine, Looe have for the last 3 years serviced our outboards. Excellent workmanship, mainly a Mercury dealer, it might be worth a call.

Contact the manufacturers and see if you can get a freebie, with suitable sponsorship logos on the craft.

Sorry for the thread drift but I never knew that. Does it apply to all charities and any VAT purchases?
