Went to look at one-off those in Portugal many moons ago …..should have bought it

Have you ever eaten a curry washed down by a few beers?

Curry is one of my go to meals and having my boat in Durban which is full of Indians from India who know how to make curries and not the so-called curry you get in England or EU.

The curry we get is very different to the ones we used to eat when I lived in the UK and react in a very different way

Don't drink South African beer and it too cold like beer in the US as it's a warm climate.

The one think I do miss is English Beer.

As I say everybody who comes aboard it is a small boat, there are no secrets on here!

As many know I am sea staff on a sail training vessel. Last winter new electric heads were fitted, they are loud enough to wake the dead. Everybody knows when somebody goes for a "wee at three"!

Because of the length of pipework we insist on filling the bowl three times. Very often there is an inquest over breakfast about who pumped out twice at some point in the night.

The solution is a low solids diet. Eat like an Apollo astronaut. Eggs, steak etc. And stay clear of the dried apricots if you must eat muesli.
