Son of a Bitch !

Right! If this were a Yank forum this post would be deleted because of the headline. The phrase "Son of a Bitch" being tantamount to using the 'F' word. The 'N' word is banned on both sides of the Atlantic (no not Narrowboats) the other 'N' word. I have just thought of another, for some weird reason the Yanks ban the word 'Nips' when referring to Jap's. This puzzles the Japanese too.
Any more examples ?

Byron, you should never have sold that boat. You need to get out a hell of a lot more. See if Matron will give you a weekend pass and a stock of pills to see you through.

Oh and i've just looked in the dictionary, 'cos I wasn't sure, and sure enough Knackers is spelt with a 'k' and not an 'n'.

We also call a round boulder which is difficult to drill through a niggerhead, same as a stubborn flush broken screw/stud a Dutchman, I'm sure there are few others. Also the graving pieces let into a deck, to save renewing a plank are called dutchmen, as in "theres more dutchmen in those decks, than there is in amsterdam" normally said when inspecting a possible purchase.
