Thanks that checks out. At least the electronics are ok. May have been loose connection somewhere on the boat harness. Still not sure what the expensive sounding pop was. Its been handy finding the spare alarm input which I've been able to connect to an exhaust overtemperature unit which has been sitting unused in my spares box for years.
