Talking for Sicily Licata , the people have been very well behaved , I believe most have obeyed the rules ,
Until the last rules on the 8th since then it's been like nothing had happen , free for all
Perhaps people in Sicily take comfort from the fact that they have only 68 cases of infection per 100,000 people and live in a large area, and so they're relaxing a bit (for the purposes of comparison, the UK is currently running at 380 per 100,000).

Just to put my previous post in perspective, I didn't mean that in Sicily nobody follow the rules and anywhere else in Italy everybody do, far from that.
If it weren't yet another generalization, I'd be tempted to say that the average respect for rules is probably a bit lower in Sicily than in northern Regions, but the truth is that in every place there's the good, the bad and the ugly.
Btw, some of the most brilliant Italian judges, who sacrificed their own life for fighting mafia, were true and thorough Sicilians.
It was just the logic that I was arguing against.

June 3rd was confirmed as the date for liberalization of movements between Regions WITHIN Italy (which are now still restricted).
Unless I missed some latest news, they didn't yet decide whether to include also movements within Schengen Countries on the same date - the possible alternative being June 15th.
They should confirm that very soon anyhow, unless they already did and I'm missing something.

Well it took some time but at last we on the move . Only one problem so far ,
we had over an hour slanging match with Tripani port and coast guard over the VHF who refused us entry to the port , even tho we emailed them and told them we would be visiting the port and they replied thanking us for letting them know ,
There insisted we had a Heath certificate.
The long and short of the story ,
I got really pissed off and threading to make an official report , at which point they change there minds and said we could go to the marina .
By which time we had enough and headed for the Egadi islands .
So it's not all straight forward , even tho the rule says you can sail within region .

Update from yesterday, specific for Sicily (Nello Musumeci is the head of the Sicilian regional government): Covid, 29 nuovi contagi in Sicilia

Sicilian residents returning from Greece, Malta or Spain must remain quarantined at home for two weeks and then undergo a test. Non-residents must register on siciliasicura.com and report health status on the day of arrival on this website (not the optional phone app).

The siciliasicura.com website, similar to the Greek passenger location form, has no option for arrival by private yacht, only "Ship", which presumably means ferry or cruise ship.

Could get interesting for those of us wanting to return to Sicily for winter!

Possibly a misleading thread as this message is about possibly tightening controls ❓ Think Vic has covered all options with his Coronavirus and Greece.

Portuguese residents are always allowed to return to their country of residency. Does the same apply to Italy ❓

Here's the latest about arriving in Italy from Croatia, Malta, Greece and Spain (by land or, presumably, sea): you have to have a test and stay in quarantine until the results come through. These the options: take the test in loco no more than 72 hours before travelling back to Italy; have it in the port or airport of arrival (there is talk of setting up stations also at land border); take the test within 48 hours of arriving in Italy and contact the local health authority. Difficult to police though, but things will not get easier: of nine new cases in my region yesterday, six were from people coming home from abroad.
