a few pics from a lovely weekend on the water, was going to be on my tod but invited one of my brothers down so headed off to Yarmouth on Saturday nice an early..
going to be nice...
reprobate spotted...
and he is taking pics.. oh, actually he's good with a camera! Thanks Steve!!:encouragement:
and then he was gone!
time for lunch..
lazy afternoon.. Kings Head for beer and sustenance, the wonder back to the boat to be met with a classic Yarmouth sunset.. and no filters used! it was this colour.
iPhone camera don't zoom great but just in case you missed the vivid colours!
this one couldn't fit in Yarmouth so sat outside for the weekend...
Sunday headed back to Hamble and bumped along the bottom on the mainland side to avoid the tide trying to slow our progress, spotted a load of New Forest ponies down on the beach, this was a small group, but dotted the whole way between Lymington and Beaulieu there was a lot, again, apologise as zoomed in iPhone pic.
spotted a chap we knew drifting.. how pleasant.
don't see many Pershings in the Solent, thank the lord, he nearly ran us down, I need a bigger boat don't think he could see me as he headed straight at us, in the end the game of chicken ended when I turned to starboard so he passed us on the port side.
and you all remember the silver bladerunner parked up at Hamble Point for years, well I assume this is it, making a complete pain of itself as it decided 6 knots was not as fun as 20 knots out of the Hamble ffs, a tsunami wake followed, actually got my anchor wet was the severity of the waves he made. The pic was taken before he had got to the fleet of optimists, but I would imagine he cause havoc, just so dangerous. I was flicked the bird by the skippers mate after my long blast on the fog horn... quality folk obviously. Where are the Harbour masters when you want them..
... and will do it all again next weekend
