jfm, I agree with you on cabins. You can't have too many cabins on a Med boat because any guests you invite will inevitably be sleeping over. Also I think those guests cabins should all have single berths 'coz your mates are'nt going to fancy sharing a double berth. Also agree with you on ex VAT boats being more attractive for resale but always providing the price reflects the ex VAt status which often they don't. Agree with you also on flybridges which as you say are the focal point of Med boats but I don't like the arrangement with the seating area aft because it means the sunbathing area is next to the helm and therefore is partially shaded by the bimini which is a bit irritating if you're trying to catch some rays. I much prefer the typical Princess layout with the seating area adjacent to the helm and the sunbed aft
Regarding Sq58 values, Fairline are bringing out a new Sq55 with midships master cabin soon which IMHO will attract new and used buyers away from the Sq58
