Anyone have an idea where else we are certain to get a mooring for the 80's Rewind at Henley?
Made my application for a festival mooring this morning but all sold out at 5pm last night.

I wanted to buy the weekend tickets but only if we had a guaranteed mooring.

Wasn't there are lengthy discussion on here not so long ago?

Contact Steve - SRB Moorings Here's his page for LAST year.
He controls the moorings for the whole stretch Medmenham to Henley BRIDGE and could make suggestions. Fr'instance mooring on Fawley meadows and being ferried across. Could be cheaper than an onsite mooring.

Just thinking sideways.

Definitely contact Steve as he is responsible for all the other moorings in the area.

I made my application just gone 9am on Friday and got allocated the 19th mooring!

Like you, I left it too late but emailed Steve last night. Have asked for moorings at Fawley Meadow. I thought it should be a bit quieter after the concert and isn't immediately next to the towpath where people will be walking past. Only downside is the long walk into town and down the other side or the river taxi down to the concert.

Either way I'm sure it will be a great time.

I'm sure last year that Steve had moorings on the same side as the festival but just a bit further up ie closer to town. Hope you get something sorted as it's a fabulous weekend. Fourth year for us looking forward to Grandmaster Flash, Lightning Seeds, Marc Almond and Jimi Sommerville!

Contacted Steve and he replied with a few choices for mooring. Then Rewind came back to me with extra spaces available so just waiting for the conformation.
Looking forward to being young again for a weekend.:D

We moored at Fawley last year. It is a very long walk to the site from there so the river taxi is the best bet. It is quite expensive, but we worked out that we probably still saved money against the price of the moorings right outside the festival site and it was much more peaceful.

It was a great weekend despite some pretty grim weather and we are looking forward to going again.

If anyone is moored on the other side of the river and has a tender to get across you are welcome to tie it to my boat for safe keeping as we are on the festival mooorings.

I know it's months away but I'm looking forward to a great weekend, maybe we can get together for a impromptu forum drink??

Just been allocated mooring 32 so I guess we will be way down towards the RV area?

We had 36 last year and it was by the family camping and just before the RV area. The best bit is having a BBQ and seeing the people on the other side of the fence who can't and seeing the longing on their faces!!

Maybe that's a bit cruel..... :)
