Thanks for drawing attention to this; now collected over EUR19,000.

And there are so many other ways to offer support.
 
i was fishing in portsmouth when the penlee lifeboat was lost----the fishermen all made noises about a collection for the dependants-----but we all left it to someone else to organise and in the end it never happened-----i still feel ashamed about my lack of action

I must admit the French payment sites are a bit cumbersome. Try following the following link:

Click the amount you wish to donate at the top (it should then show orange), and fill in your details indicating if you;d like to receive their monthly newsletter.

Only then can the payment button be activated at the bottom of the page l taking you to the usual payment options.

Hope this helps, total received so far is almost EUR30,000.

Some folk may not know that David Robinson of Robinson College and other major charitable donations paid for the replacement Penlee lifeboat
