I don't know how you managed to upload a 4000 Px photo into the forum. i just copied it, altered it and tried to reload it, without success.

By trial and error, I reckon the forum software is set by the mods to limit the individual file size to 2.5MB on the basis a test upload of a 2,476kb pic was accepted and a 2,511kb was rejected as too large.

I know Roger well enough to believe that he wouldn't take offence. It is just something that people do from time to time. It is not as if I'd stolen his copyright.
