Good morning. My Raymarine SL70C is no longer picking up a GPS signal. Apart from checking the connections, is there anything else I can do (I vaguely rememb that there's battery somewhere in the system that needs to be replaced).

Thanks.

There is a button battery in the "mushroom" GPS aerial. Most likely culprit. Some early versions had them soldered in, later ones just slot in, though you have to dismantle a bit to get at it.

Thanks. This is the receiver. Any idea what model it is so that I can try and find a manual?

If it is the PL125 it will have an led light on the top cover.
If it is the pl 125 the battery replacement is straight forward. For peace of mind you can take pictures as you pull it apart.
Or you can get one of these, it worked fine on my C80 plotter
Raystar NMEA aerial
