Skytronic Inverter question

I have just fitted an old inverter to the boat that has been in my garage for a few years. It is a Skytronic 1500w jobbie.

They are now discontinued, and so I'm not able to get a remote on/off switch for it, and can't get the pin-outs either to see whether another make of remote switch will work.

So my question is this..... Is it ok to leave the inverter on permanently if there is no load on it, or does it still pull the batteries down?

Has anyone got a remote for one of these that they no longer need or have the manual/pin-outs for the phone socket connector.

With no load it will probably still take a significant fraction of 1 amp. But why not hitch it up to a battery and measure it ?

Can you not control it using a heavy duty ( 200 amp ) relay or even a remotely operated battery isolating switch

Thanks Vic. Putting an isolator switch into the positive feed was my other thought.
