BTW, if anyone wants to buy a really good Skipper 14, Bermudan rig, ally mast/boom, great sails, snipe road trailer, full cover, outboard well storage cover and even the cockpit canopy cockpit cover/frame (very, very rare) my cousin has a cracker he would be looking to sell. Dinghy is in Ware, Herts if anyone fancies a new boat.
PM me and I will put you in touch.

I have one of these and I have what may be the "owners manual" - more of a slim booklet with pictures and diagrams that looks like it came with the boat originally. A delightfully dated writing style!

I can scan it and send it in PDF to anyone who wants a copy but I am not sure hw to do that through this forum. So if someone can tell me how to I will see what I can do.

I rigged mine for the first time today and it seemed fairly straightforward.

Would you by any chance send me the pdf of the owners manual - if it is something more than this - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.533170043553480.1073741827.533163693554115&type=3
Thanks a lot

Certainly not very well built. This one is cracked due to being sat on the trailer in the wrong spot and filling with water.
I ground back the crack and looked inside (between the skins) to see large lumps of expanded polystyrene - loose. Just stuffed in when it was made.. The gel-coat is thicker than the lay-up so there isn't a terrific amount to bond the repair to.
Anyway, I plan to repair it (already got the first layers of mat on) and sell it with mast and sails and a launch trolley, but I'm keeping the trailer.
It'll make a decent fun boat for a family as long as they stay on the lakes or rivers.
It seems a fair while since there was any action within the Skipper forum but many have been sold on Ebay during the last few years so the interest must be there. I personally have bought two to make into one good one simply to enjoy at my leasure without venturing into racing or such like. I have obtained a lot of info and intend to bring the one up to 'as new spec'.
However, the one thing that I cannot get information on is the mast seat in the foredeck. Both these hulls have been repaired on the underside immediately below the mast sleeve which leads me to believe that the mast has worked its way through both skins, There is no blank end to either mast and no fittings for any stays so I am assuming that the semi rotation of the mast under sail has turned the mast into an auger and allowed it to cut through the skins. Am I missing something here, any advice would be welcome. I love these boats so any reference to plastic buckets and use it as a horse trough would fall on deaf ears. I intend to fit stays as the later ones but should the mast have a plug or step?

(It's not osmosis. Someone had painted the hull and damp has got under the paint.)
