There is a dedicated product, for the removal of silicone sealants, available from most good "Building Trade" outlets, (not your usual DIY Hypermarkets) that is very efficient, unfortunately I cannot recall it's name. Possibly Uni-Bond,Evo-Stick or Dow-Corning
From almost any supplier of fibreglass, much much cheaper to buy a 2.5 or 5 litre container. Will last indefinitely and will always be useful. I bought 5 litres 10 or more years ago and still have almost half of it left. It's invaluable on the odd occasions when I need it.
