Sikaflex supplier

I need a few tubes of Sikaflex and the various primers and ancillaries.

I've found various people who can supply the Sikaflex, but none of them do all the other bits and pieces.

Before I spend more time Googling, does anyone know of a supplier who stocks a decent range...preferably at a good price...but availability is more important.

I've never used the stuff before, so I'll probably be posting about Sikaflex again in the near future!

Then download the sikaflex marine handbook & the users guide, you will get most of the sika solutions for boats.

Thanks. I've already found that and I've been wading through it to try to find exactly what's needed. I'm doing one of those jobs (keel) that I want to do to the best of my ability so that it then doesn't need to be done again for a few years.

Try Marine and Industrial Sealants 01692 404018

I resealed my keel when I replaced the keel bolts.

Took the mast off.
Supprted boat with plenty of clearance under keel
Supported keel with 2 jacks and wood cheeks with props both sides.
removed bolts.
lowered keel with jacks to get clearance.
cleaned all surfaces with wire wheel on electric drill
taped plastic sheet onto side of keel.
put loads of sikaflex 292 in centre of keel.
put in two long threaded rods to keep holes in line
jacked up keel to within 20 mm of hull.
put all new bolts in and pulled keel up using the bolts.
scraped off excess 292 with a plastic scraper
removed plastic sheeting
left 24 hrs
Wire brush joint again and painted iron keel with zinc based primer
left 24 hours
added new bead of 221 along edge and smoothed off with liquid soap.
left 48 hrs to cure
Paint with Antifoul

Thanks for the info.

I'll also follow up the lead for Robbins Timber, but it looks as if that stuff is for teak decking and I'm doing steel/GRP. They may have other grades though so I'll follow it up with them.

I find the Sika web sites difficult to navigate but you should find what you want but I'm not sure if it includes a list of stockists. I don't know your location but if you are anywhere near a fishing port, seek out the firm the fishermen get their supplies from. I save about £3 per tube of 291 that way.
