How do you get the drum off a siezed Gibb winch? It is an old-fashioned type with the winch handle attached at the base and a silver drum. Any ideas would be welcome!

Lever the plastic blanking plug out of the hole in the top, remove the screw in the bottom of the hole and pull off the drum. If it is seized put penetrating oil down the hole?

Try spraying Plus Gas (from any auto shop) into the hole and leave for a while. This seems to free most things.
