SIBS viewing shortlist / sail to power

Curve-ball suggestion for you Graham. What about a powercat? Lagoon or Bene, or Dazcat can design and build one to your exact spec (I was talking with them about it last Friday).

What's that thing on the roof with seats and a steering wheel?
Hoho. I know :) it's mitigated a bit by the shape of that model, I do think that an FB would be a potentially great choice for the UK...

I can't get used to the whole catamaran thing, they just look so wrong. I'm also a tad alarmed at the mooring costs....

Don't close your mind to it, they have some great benefits:-

15l/hr at 15kts
big saloon with windows to look out of
big galley
Pig "patio" on the back
Lots of sunbathing space
You can park them in very shallow water (up a beach)
Make a very comfy "floating holiday home"

Mooring can be cheap if you choose carefully, as they don't draw much.

The guys at Dazcat were talking about building a hybrid diesel/electric one, which could be very trick.

Any extra you pay on mooring fees with be saved 10 times over in fuel.
