SIBS Sales must be doing well...as they did not want my money!

It is now Tuesday and Bavaria have followed up. Keen to do a deal, and will look into some of the reasons why we are not sure i.e. cocpit fabric and light blue piping! Also assured that the current 35HT will stay in place and not come off as was intoned on here a while back. Well done bavaria!

I had almost exactly the same experience. I never visited Sealine as I had a bad experience a few years ago.
In 2001, I visited the Sealine Hamble office and said "I have about £80k to spend. What have you got?" Was told "Can't you make it £100k?" When I said no I was basically given some keys to second hand boats and told to "go and look round". He didn't give us a second thought after that.
We went straight to Port Solent and looked at Cranchi boats (was Crest Marine but now Abersoch) . We ended up buying a new Giada 30. Their after sales service was second to none.

We also found Bavaria the most keen to actually do a deal this year, but can't quite afford a new one. Hence my Giada is up for sale so I can look at second hand ones.
Would also look at Zaffiro 34 at right price.

Essex Boatyards come good (at last!)

Hands off it is mine! (but only if Palm tree included)

Anyway, Today I am happy to say that Nick from Essex has been in touch. He has been going through the forum and noticed my post and rang me straight away. So maybe a Doral deal is now back on /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Glad to see the forum has more uses than just GC1's wind up tool. Got to say Nick was very appologetic...how often do you see a Senior boat salesman (and partner in the family business) eat humble pie!

So well done to Essex for following up. Hopefully anyone experiencing poor Fairline sales service will also have been contacted /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Glad to see despite their growing size they remember their family business roots from whence they came (and those little old small purchases we make) /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

So I will upgrade them to a Silver gong for post boat show service.....but must try harder at Excel!

Cheers
