winner wildcat 1970's running a tuned 5.7l v8 merc.
the boat was swamped at bridlington when the tractor was unable to pull the boat out of the sea.
took 2yrs to rebuild.every thing was replaced with new.this is when the engine was rebuild and tuned.the following was done..
dart cylinder heads s/s valves ported-polished.
eagle billet crank.
flat top racing pistons.the old pistons had a well in them.
high lift marine camshaft.
holly high preasure fuel pump.
edalebrook torquer 2 intake manifold.
4bbl rochester carb.(standard).
the engine is running over 220p.s.i up from 150p.s.i.
prop is a 5blade s/s by ron hill u.s.a

did you mean what model.
it's a 'b' class series 2 i believe.open wheel house aft cabin.
but as you can see the wheel house was converted years ago to full enclosed,and outside helm fitted on aft deck.
Nice boats, looked at a couple (still in sale here and quite cheap 10-20K euro) but they were both in rather sorry state and I stepped back...

Sounds good. Do you mean PS rather than PSI? If so I'm guessing it was an oil crunch engine, I'm in that situation. Another thing, have you got a fuel pressure regulator as the rochester (I'm guessing it's a Quadrajet) is happiest with 5 psi of fuel pressure. Sounds very cool though, and I'd love to get my heads, pistons, and cam upgraded eventually, my engine is about 150-200 bhp down because of the damn oil crunch. Already got full length headers and an Edelbrock performer (went for that because it has better performance at low to mid revs, but will probably go for a performer rpm air gap when i upgrade the rest).
