I like reading about the Medway and wonder if we should be called "Inland Waterways Forum". Views?

If we did that we would be overtaken by funny speaking canal boating narrowboat owning anoraks from the midlands.

I think that the Thames forum is fine as it is.

A truly British compromise?

How's about "The Thames and other rivers forum"

I don't think that funny speaking canal boating.... folk are much interested in the Thames and they are well served by other fora more suited to their interests anyway.

Re: A truly British compromise?

I don't think that Canal boaters, would be very interested or wise to join this forum, having read the comments made about them by the forum users.

This seems to be a white boat and varnish forum, were possibly white shiney fenders are considered more important than most other things?

I'm sure the NB owners know they're as welcome as anybody, and it's all in jest /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

However, on the second point, the Thames is undoubtedly a most historic venue, and it's good to see traditions and standards kept up isn't it?

It proves we care. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
