Shore Power

Hi folks,

I want to add a shore power facility tom my 21ft motor boat but have not seen any kind of kit in the chandlery

I know from my Caravan days that they are available for a 'van with the RCD and breaker unit- is there anything different for those used on boats?

dont go to chandlary visit local electrical distributor and get consumer unit for a shed/garage with RCD and MCB all set and ready to wire

from a caravan shop, buy a power receiver (this is a blue type socket with male pins into which you push the socket end of your shorepower cable). on the inside you can fit a socket with a built-in earth trip.
