Does anyone know of a shore power disconnect alarm that is not part of a hugely expensive monitoring hub. I have found a couple that will go off when shore power disconnects and go silent again when reconnected - so useless when I want to unplug and go sailing but I can't find anything that will simply alert me if shore power is lost that can be user silenced when I want to disconnect ... Has anyone come across such a thing?

Something like this:-
Amazon.co.uk You can change the plug or even remove it and hard wire into your shore supply consumer unit. ( if you have one?) Also not difficult to wire a "Silence button or switch" into the cable. Unit!
A search for "Loss of power alarm" will find lots more

I'd go with Roger on this one, fitting a silence switch to a cheap alarm would mean taking it apart and trying to fit a switch to the buzzer, which may not be doable if the buzzer is soldered onto a circuit board.

You can use a 240V normally closed relay with the coil connected to the shore power supply and the relay terminals connected to a buzzer. Fit a silent switch in one of the buzzer wires.

It does have an ON/OFF switch on the unit so all my previous about fitting such is crubbish :ROFLMAO:
Also plug in (13amp) available so OP doesn't have to faff about with anything. Just plug and unplug as required.

we use DC Voltage Monitors hooked into my laptops on my 2 sailboats. When the battery power drops to 45% the laptop starts the Onan generators & takes the % up @ 85%. I never fully charge the marine batteries & even my laptops stay @ 80%. I also have an employee who tends both my boats. There is a system out there that sells a unit named MySpool from $35.00 to $75.00 type in MySpool.com there U'll find the deal U might need !

I use an old 12v transformer/ plug (used to power an answerphone), powering the relay which switches a 12v sounder connected to a PP9 battery. Add silence switch as desired, all housed in a plastic junction box.
