Sharp auto pilots

Information please on Sharp auto pilots, particularly the "mate compass control" drive unit (MD1) with an automatic clutch known as the "SDU"

Wiring diagrams for this (12 Volt version) and the modified "MJ" junction box would be very helpful.

Has anyone interfaced these drive units to modern auto pilot course computers /controls and if so what was the result.
