To be a total compromise it would need a lifting keel and folding rudders, to take the sands. Then a self folding/erecting mast to get under all those bridges.
It still wouldn't have sufficient space for the gin though.

Bloody pug ugly though, couldnt live with that, make me ill everytime I got in the dinghy and looked back at it!

Where's the flybridge? On a more practical point, one of the biggest problems with sailing boats is their lack of forward visibility due to all the junk sticking up on the foredeck. On this particular boat, the deck saloon restricts visibility from the cockpit helms even more so don't expect anyone driving one of these things to respect the Col Regs
I can't help feeling that if sail boats are going to start looking more like motorboats, they might as well get rid of the sails. The sails are just for decoration anyway. After all, how many sail boats actually use their sails to go anywhere? If a sailboat needs to get from A to B in a certain time, 9 times out of 10, it's under power

Its what I always say, in the meddy there are two types of boats, motorboats and motorboats with masts! The wind is either two strong, not strong enough or in the wrong direction!!
