My boat has an 80mm diameter shaft for which all spares are very pricey and it only has a 75hp engine as it is an ex-naval displacement vessel!
I want to add an aquadrive unit and I was wondering if it would be ok to have the inside end of the shaft milled smaller to allow me to purchase a more resonabley priced unit.

We have been dealing with Lake Engineering 01202 621631 and Halyard 01722 710922 about all issues to do with aquadrive, shaft bearings etc. Halyard sell the aquadrive parts and we have found Tim, who works there, a mine of information and really helpful with all our idiot questions. We haven't done what you are proposing but I think they could help or at least point you in the right direction
