I know youll have a great time.If i can just add,for what you have in mind two good anchors (yourll only need one)It always made me feel better.
And for day to day confort the best tender you can put somewhere, ridged are by far the best and well worth the problem of finding a place for,as its very nice to anchor??? Of course it depends perhaps your going into a port by preference?
A pity i wanted to come along to Port Saint Louis, as theres and old fishing boat i wanted and some pieces from an old abandond panhard pick up,its on some waste land just along from the capitanerie on the right.
But i as well have bought a new boat( A 1946 Folkboat) and i will be spending the next year or two in the Baltic(it cooler there!)so we will be going in oposite directions!
Dont forget to post hear so that we can all follow your advertures, ill be looking in on a small wi-fi PDA Good sailing!!
Congratulations
In the early eighties I sailed a brand new one(then) from the south of France to the Algarve. She went very well.
These boats are built like brickhouses and will last forever.Check the age of the rigging though. My father bought a new Arpege in 1970 and the present owner happily sails her with the original standing rigging, the reason being that the bottlescrews where locked with lengths of stainless wire inserted down a groove in the threaded bit(sorry, can't make it any clearer). The whole thing is now seized solid .He has nice new curtains however...
Where is the pic taken? The mobo in the background is a Leopard Sport 23m, or rather the predecessor 21.5m I think, and there's only Leopard in UK namely TCM's and that one isn't his. So is the pic taken in France/Spain?
